Well, I have given an update on my last post, Hot Crostini and one on Fish Curry-Central Kerala Style, as many have been asking for the pictures of Kudam Puli/Gamboge. I have uploaded a pic, followed by a small note on the same. Please check both.
On another note, ever wondered how they manage to get that “cheese pull” shot on a pizza, or a juicy steak, or a well groomed burger with its lettuce leaf and tomato slices looking like neatly stacked up books? Here’s some ‘interesting’ links I came across recently……..though one cannot make any judgements based on these links or generalize the information, it’s definitely worth for a light read : P
Thanks!
Shn
All the best with the vacations!
ReplyDeleteI just finish reading all the articles on food styling. Funny! I think I love food bloggers' photos a lot more - it's real and looks like food!

ReplyDeleteHUH!!!! Its strange to note what all they use for making them look like ready to drool pics!!! Motor oil for mapel syrup and Hairspray to make the cake look moist!!! HUH! That was a nice ready Shn!
ReplyDeleteNice read, Shn, I knew a bit about it, of course, but the motor oil-for-maple syrup substitution was news to me!

Its amazing to go through ur blog. I am a fan of mallugirl Shaheen and now your's too. I started to cook your way - after marriage. I am taking all the time in the world to go through your blog from the very beginning. I made the Pita bread yesterday and it came out delicious. I used to make humus and shawarma chicken and get pita bread from the super market. Now thanks to u can make it at home. Your blog is so captivating with your photographs and of course all that talk about rattling ur memories for us. I enjoy every bit of that talk coz it brings back my own sweet memories of my kerala days. Keep posting more abt it coz it's almost 6 years since I have last seen those coconut palms wobbling in the rains. I have started a small blog too abt my photography experiments. If you get sometime from your kitchen (I wouldn't dare to drag you to read my blog and let all of us wait hungrily for your new recipe) do visit my blog and let me know how you feel abt it.
ReplyDeletePS. Can I add the link to your blog on my blogspot?
oops this is the link to my blog http://fourseasonsoflove.blogspot.com
