Kalathappam or kalthappam as my dad calls...Hi Shn,<br /><br />Kalathappam or kalthappam as my dad calls it, is a great snack!! My granny's recipe is a li'l different from the one you have mentioned here. She used to mix up pachari with puzhungalari in a 3:1 ratio and grind it into fine paste with 1 whole scrapped coconut. And she used prefer coconut oil to ghee. But I think ghee definitely adds to the aroma and taste of the dish.
